The Haywood County Meals on Wheels program serves one nutritious meal to the  elderly, homebound and disabled residents throughout Haywood County who cannot prepare meals for themselves.  The program not only serves the program recipients a meal for the day, but also provides human contact one time per day, five days per week.  The program has many benefits for the family members who worry about their loved ones during the day.  Also, the program allows folks to stay in their homes and thus saves the county much needed funding by not having to send the recipient into placement.
