We are a regional Church with a world impact,
a place to experience God and build successful lives.

In 1977 after fasting and praying for 24 hours, forty-three born-again believers from a cross-section of denominational backgrounds met in a home in Waynesville, North Carolina to begin a New Testament Church with an offering of $1,234.  They did not know that eventful night their efforts would result in present-day New Covenant Church with over 700 members reaching across Western North Carolina on a 34 acre campus worth over $2 million, but God did.

From the beginning Reverend Frank Harvey led the Church from services in that same family room to an old dry-cleaner's building in downtown Waynesville, then finally in 1991 to its present location at 767 Lee Road in Clyde.  With each growth opportunity the Church faithfully responded and was abundantly rewarded.  Having vowed in 1977 to give ten percent of all offerings to missions, today New Covenant has planted missions in almost every country in the world. In 2004, after twenty-seven years, Reverend Harvey passed the leadership of the Church to Reverend Nick Honerkamp.

Our new 14,000 sq. ft. children's facility was fully dedicated to the Lord on June 26, 2005.  With the availability of this space, many new activities have been birthed and the children's ministry greatly expanded.

Over the last several years a new and exciting Life Group Ministry has been established, based on a free market model.  We average 60-70 groups a semester.

New Covenant Church has also been active in community outreach.  At the present time, we are hosting Haywood Christian Academy Junior School at our facilities during the week.

In 2008, NCC was designated as a Emergency Disaster Shelter, one of the first churches in Haywood County to be certified.  NCC has been actively training Chaplains who serve locally, regionally and in other states as needed.
