On Thursday, December 8, Madison Garris and Jessica Clifford made a "How to Care for Pets" presentation to Central Elementary School's Girls on the Run  on behalf of Youth for Sarge's.

In return, the 3rd through 5th grade girls donated cat and dog food to Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation.

"Our Youth for Sarge group is very active in fundraising for Sarge's.  This year they put together a very good presentation that they are taking to local school, church and activities groups for young people." said Tish O'Connor, Sarge volunteer who coordinates Youth for Sarge activities with Melissia Anderson. "It is an interactive program with question and answer participation from the audience."

"We appreciate the work of teachers Diana Hofle and Susan Breese who arranged for the two groups to get together," continued O'Connor.

Girls on the Run is a non-profit prevention program that encourages preteen girls to develop self respect and healthy lifestyles through running.
