Ray, Higgins exchange wedding vows  Aug. 26

Josh Ray and Savanah Higgins were married Aug. 26, at Lake Powell, Arizona, in a ceremony in which they wrote and exchanged their own wedding vows.  They chose to be married on a private island located outside of Face Canyon, in the middle of Lake Powell.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Nick and Lisa Higgins of Farmington, New Mexico. The groom was accompanied by his mother, Lulu Ray, of Waynesville, and Rhonda Haney, also of Waynesville, godmother of the groom, who performed the ceremony for the couple.
The bride wore an elegant white Allure ball gown dress. The groom wore a white shirt and khakis, for a hint of beach style.
The flower girls were their daughters, Kaydence and Kambree.
The groom is the city manager for the City of Aztec, New Mexico, and the bride is the campus director of Water Technologies Training Institute in Farmington, New Mexico. Josh, Savanah, Kaydence and Kambree will reside at their home in Aztec, New Mexico.
The couple traveled to Antigua, West Indies, for their honeymoon and will hold a reception/open house at their home for friends and family.
