Registration for the 2nd Annual Polar Plunge is underway! Brave the frigid waters of Lake Junaluska and show your community spirit for Kids in the Creek, youth education programs, and clean water.
There will be prizes for the top fundraisers and best costumes! All plungers receive a great Plunger t-shirt. A chili lunch will be provided for everyone, plungers and spectators.
After the plunge, enjoy the bonfire to keep warm and share your fun experience. Polar Pete, our new event mascot, will be there to take pictures with you and your kids.
To officially become a Plunger, “Join the Team” at www.crowdrise.com/2NDPOLARPLUNGE. The $25 entry fee can be paid directly; or plunge for FREE by forwarding www.crowdrise.com/2NDPOLARPLUNGE to your family, friends, coworkers, and everyone else you know and request they sponsor your plunge.
If you want to support youth education and clean water but don’t want to plunge, visit www.crowdrise.com/2NDPOLARPLUNGE to sponsor a Plunger or make a donation. Then join us as a spectator on February 1. It’s a great way to get out of the house while supporting the kids of Haywood County.
You can also register, solicit donations, or make a donation using forms found in the event’s Registration & Information Packet. See the attachment or contact Haywood Waterways at email@example.com or 828-476-4667 for a copy.
What Plungers need to bring: Shoes and clothing are mandatory, costumes are highly encouraged; also a warm change of clothes, towel, and a fun, ready-to-conquer attitude.
