Art Show

It’s show time!  The Inspired Art Ministry, Inc. (Iam) will be having their 4th Annual Art Show/Fundraiser in the MAC Building of the First Baptist Church, 100 S. Main Street, Waynesville, NC, on October 13, 10:00-4:00pm.

Do your tax-deductible Christmas Shopping early or just enjoy drawings, paintings, photographs and the children’s section while you have hot drinks and/or munchies in the well-lit indoor gallery.  The quality professional art, photographs and work by artists-in-training will amaze you.

Iam is honored to have accomplished instructors:  Jo Ridge Kelley, internationally collected landscape painter, offers “Basic Fine Art for Children – Unleashing your Child’s Talent and Creativity” for ages 5-18; Ed Kelley, Master Photographer, teaches “Taking Control of your Digital Photography” for adults; and Char Avrunin, nationally collected portrait artist leads multi-subject drawing and painting classes for beginning through advanced adults.  Professional artists also use the Iam space as open studios.

Whether you favor landscapes, flowers, portraits, or other subjects, there is something for you.  Talk to the artists and photographers; wander around the children’s section; watch artists do demos and create beautiful artwork before your very eyes.  You can even commission a piece from one of the exhibitors or an instructor.

The Inspired Art Ministry, Inc. is a non-profit Corporation that tithes on all income to the First Baptist Church for the privilege of using the spaces.  It has the annual Art Show, participates in other local art shows, art library, field trips to museums and artist’s studios/galleries, Christmas Party, and students receive discounts at the Mountain Home Collection and Great Smokies Creations Gallery and Frame Shop in Waynesville.  Donations to Iam are welcome, tax-deductible and used for student scholarships and materials for the library.  Contact Char Avrunin at Charspaintings@msn.com or 828-456-9197.
