Antioch Baptist Church will host a Precept Upon Precept Bible study of the book of Ruth for women from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. beginning Tuesday, Feb. 28. The study will be conducted over a six-week period at the church, 542 Iron Duff Road, Waynesville.

Miriam Stovall will lead the study, which is meant to encourage and strengthen women in their faith as they discover, with Ruth, their “Kinsman Redeemer.”

Stovall has been actively involved with Precept Ministries International for over 40 years.  As a member of a military family, she and her husband served the Lord overseas and in the United States.

While leading and teaching the Precept Inductive method of study, Stovall has found this method of Bible study to be life changing.

Upon retirement from the U.S. Army, Stovall and her husband joined the staff of Precept Ministries in Chattanooga.  While on staff she had the opportunity to travel and to teach others “How to study the Bible” using the inductive method.

In 2001, the Stovalls moved to Waynesville where Miriam has continued to serve God through the ministry of teaching and training others. Her goal is to further the Gospel message; to know God more intimately; to follow him more closely; and to serve him in obedience to his word.

The deadline for reservations and ordering the material is Feb. 12. For reservations and further inquiries, contact Stovall (235-2782) or Antioch Baptist Church (637-1200).
