As of Sunday, December 9th, 72 dogs and or cats have been adopted from the Haywood County Animal Shelter as part of the Home for the Holidays promotion that makes potential available for a reduced adoption fee.

From November 21^st through December 31, the special adoption fees are $60.00 for dogs, $27.50 for male cats and $37.50 for female cats.  The fee covers the cost of spay/neuter and a rabies vaccination.  The reduced adoption fee will make it easier for an adopter to pay for other medical services plus all the extras a new
