Jackson County Author, Edward Fahey will visit City Lights Bookstore on Friday, March 7th at 6:30 p.m. to present his novel. The Mourning After is a novel about love not confined to a single lifetime, or even slowed by death. Exploring spirituality and the psychology of human relationships, it is written in a haunting, mystical style that caught the attention of readers on the other side of the ocean. Just back from a long tour of what he calls spooky sites of magic and legend, Edward finds he has created quite a stir overseas, and that a romance has followed him home. In England, Lynden Carter read excerpts on Facebook. She called it achingly beautiful. Love grew out of their exchanges, and they decided to meet in America. Since that time they have travelled between the two continents.  KIRKUS said of Edward’s book, “Fahey’s dreamlike … [and] powerful prose … delivers a remarkably written tale …. An engaging, introspective novel.” Clarion Review has called it, “Masterful”.

While his career revolved around massaging celebrities and others, Edward has spent his life hunting magic. His parents having come back as ghosts, he seeks out other sides of reality. He has communed with mystics and healers, camped in deserts, lived on a ship, travelled out-of-body, even fought his way into the fury of hurricanes; always reaching for something deeper and more profound. He tours decrepit castles, graveyards, abandoned monasteries, and ancient ceremonial sites, seeking contact with lingering ancient spirits.  To reserve a copy of The Mourning After please contact us at 586-9499.
