The Haywood County Arts Council's International Festival Day was held Saturday — a week earlier than normal. Though the date was a change from tradition, it seems that many got the memo, as Waynesville's Main Street was chock a block with spectators, vendors and dancers. The festival blended local and international bands, crafts, performers and food, and included a global-themed children's area, too. The day also offered a free glimpse into Folkmoot USA, which continues through July 29 at locations across Haywood County and much of Western North Carolina.
