Laura Ann Garren will discuss the natural and cultural history of the Chattooga River on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. at City Lights Bookstore. Her book, "The Chattooga River," looks at the incredible biodiversity and cultural significance of one of the last free-flowing rivers in the Southeast.  A writer and dog trainer, Garren makes her home in Pendleton, South Carolina.
