The Haywood County Arts Council presents singer-songwriter Lorraine Conard in concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Haywood County Public Library auditorium, 678 S. Haywood St., Waynesville. The free concert is sponsored by the Village Framer and is part of the Sunday Concert Series co-sponsored by the Arts Council and the Friends of the Haywood County Library.

First-time listeners are often astonished to hear Conard's deep, soulful singing voice. She wields it to bring her songwriting vibrantly to life, ranging from toe-tapping, countrified Americana to folk-tinged blues.
