WAYNESVILLE — Aaron Miles Fugate, 30, of the White Oak Community died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016.

Aaron is survived by his loving wife, Angela K. Fugate; mother, Barbara Jean Payne; father, Joseph Fugate; father and mother in-law, Bob and Dianne Dirscherl; fraternal grandmother Margaret Louise Fugate and maternal grandmother Helen Elizabeth Rathbone; seven brothers and sisters: Cindy Noland, Larry (Cindy) Fugate all of Waynesville, Cathy Jo (Paul) Carson of Canton, Mary Beth Akers, Daniel Black, Stephanie Fugate and Charity Fugate (Jesse James) all of Waynesville; two brother-in-law’s: Rob(Jackie) Dirscherl and Frank Heminway, one sister-in-law, Kara (Jason) Nilges; three uncles: Jim (Maxine) Fugate of Waynesville, Jerry (Teresa) Fugate of TN and Grady Lee Rathbone of Panther Creek, along with his two Aunt’s, Patricia (Samuel) Sharpe of Canton and Linda Black of Waynesville. Aaron is also survived by multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by three grandfathers: maternal grandfather, Jr. Ray Black, Fraternal grandfather, Ben Fugate and step-grandfather, Grady Rathbone.

Aaron was very smart and humble, he had a gentle soul that was so kind and caring.  Aaron loved to be outdoors; hunting deer and bear, being out in nature where he felt most at peace.  He loved animals especially his dogs.  He could do just about anything.  Aaron enjoyed working with his hands and building, especially his home for Angela.  Aaron was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at Dellwood Baptist Church with the Revs. Bobby Rogers and Jerry Parks officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 until 3 pm.
