ABC Responsible Alcohol Program is June 11

The N.C. ABC Commission is holding a free Responsible Alcohol Seller/Server Program class from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, in the meeting room at the Jackson County Recreation Center, located at 88 Cullowhee Mountain Road, Cullowhee.

The purpose of this class is to educate businesses with alcohol permits and their employees about the responsible sales and service of alcoholic beverages.

Businesses or organizations with alcohol permits, applicants seeking alcohol permits, bartenders, servers, employees or festival volunteers who serve alcoholic beverages and members of the general public are welcome to attend.

The program is open to the public and teaches the state’s current alcohol laws and techniques for detecting underage and intoxicated patrons. It is designed to cover valuable information for both on- and off-premise businesses and employees.
