WAYNESVILLE — Ada Laverne Arrington Nichols, 94, of Waynesville, passed away, Sept. 23, 2012, at the Brian Center of Waynesville. She was born June 17, 1918, to the late Oscar T. and Kate Erwin Arrington. For a short time, Ada was a beautician in the state of Washington and later becoming a homemaker in Haywood County. She was also a member of the Pleasant Balsam Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by, husband, Louie Nichols; sisters, Nellie Arrington Smathers, Pauline Arrington, Thelma Josephine Arrington, and an infant baby sister; brother, Robert Oscar Arrington; and an infant baby girl.
Survivors include sister, Bessie Hooper; brother, Clarence Arrington; and several nieces and nephews.
