Adams, Johnston exchange vows Nov. 17
Logan Rice Adams and Christian Wade Johnston were united in Christian marriage Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at First United Methodist Church in LaGrange, Georgia. The Dr. Rev. Frank Stuart Gulley performed the 6 p.m. double ring ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She is the daughter of Kim Rice Adams, of LaGrange, Georgia, and Charles Reavis Adams, of Charlotte, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Jesse Rice, of Canton, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry Adams, of Chapel Hill, and Betty Butts Adams, of Smithfield.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Mark Johnston of Opelika, Alabama. He is the grandson of Lillian Dalton Miller of Panama City, Florida, and the late Mr. Robert Lee Miller and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Woodrow Johnston.
The bride wore an heirloom Venice lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and a semi cathedral length train. She carried a bouquet of white roses tied with satin ribbon, which was pinned with a blue cameo, a family heirloom that belonged to the groom’s late great-grandmother.
Emery Caroline Adams, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shannon Louise Fitzhugh, Jacqueline Carlyle Gillis, Keleigh Mills Holle, Lee Johnston Lomax, Mary Natalie Mansour, Stephanie Stringfellow Nation and Emily Hart Stewart.
James Mark Johnston served as best man for his son. Groomsmen were John Hill Blackburn, John Paul Gillis, William Landon Lomax, Jameson Bates Pugh, Joseph Anthony Vickers. Kenneth Charles Vickers and Adam Harrison Williams.
A reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at Del’Avant in LaGrange following the ceremony. Following the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Christian Wade Johnston traveled to Punta Mita, Mexico. The couple now resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
