Addison John Keim

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIDA — Addison John Keim, 96, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, died peacefully Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014. He was born in Albany, New York, July 23, 1917.
He had a successful banking career following service to his beloved country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II and was promoted to lieutenant colonel at age 24, the youngest in history. He enjoyed summers in Waynesville from 1985-2005, played golf at the Waynesville Inn and attended First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mary Helen Keim; and his children, Joan Keim Barnes and her husband, Garth Barnes, of Waynesville, and Addison J. Keim Jr. of Albany, New York, who was born on his birthday.
He was predeceased by his first wife of 34 years, Marjorie M. Keim, who died in 1979.
A celebration of his life was held in Palm Beach Gardens Monday, Feb. 3,and a memorial service and internment will be held in Albany, New York, later this spring.
