Canton — Alice Medlin Bartlett, 98, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Maggie Valley Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.

A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Jake F. and Julia Mintz Davis. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Medlin, who died in 1979 and her second husband, Roy H. Bartlett, who died in 1993; seven brothers; and four sisters. She was a member of Dutch Cove Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Grace Medlin, of Canton, and Barbara Wright, of Clyde; two sons, Jerry Davis, of Canton, and William Medlin, Jr., of Marietta, Georgia; two sisters, Mazie Hunt, of Jasper, Georgia, and Mary Lou Swanson, of Marble; a brother, Lawrence Davis, of Marble; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five ...
