CLYDE — Alvin Justice, 88, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.
A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Earl and Mora Fulbright Justice. Alvin owned and operated the Justice Tank Company for 40 years. He was a board member of the Citizens for Bon-A-Venture Cemeteries. Alvin was an avid gardener and loved growing dahlias, fishing and being with his family. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Lakeview Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marie Mangino Justice; two daughters, Barbara Caldwell, and her husband, Dan, of Charlotte, and Eileen Moore, of Charlotte; a son, Alvin Neil Justice, of Selmer, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Holly Minich (Chris), Dani Teeter (Edward), Marty Moore, Selena Rogers (David) and Natalie Phillips (Michael); and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Pullin officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery Old Clyde, Road. Serving as pallbearers will be Herb Burchfield, Marty Moore, Dan Caldwell, Johnny Justice, Chris Minich and Edward Teeter. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to give a special thanks to Jeanie and Herb Burchfield for their faithfulness.
