Angie’s Dance Academy presents Recitals to celebrate their 23rd Year!

For twenty three years, children and adults alike have been entertained by the talented young people enrolled at Angie’s Dance Academy and this year is no exception. Don’t miss their 23rd annual recital entitled “Adventures in Neverland” coming up the end of the month. This year’s event will include singing, acting and dancing as the main characters “Wendy” and “Peter Pan” share their marvelous adventures into the magical world of Neverland.

The Neverland recitals will be held on Saturday afternoon, May 31 at 2:00 pm and on Sunday afternoon, June 1 at 3:00 pm. Both shows will be held in the auditorium at Haywood Community College in Clyde.

The Academy will also feature the students in the Aces Performing Troupes during their Spring Showcase on Saturday evening, May 31 at 7:00 pm, also at Haywood Community College. These talented young dancers range in age from 6 to 18 years and will feature their high-energy, entertaining and award-winning routines that placed so highly in spring competitions this season.

Tickets for the recitals and the showcase will be available at the door of the events at a cost of $10.00 for adults and $8.00 for youth (4 to 12 years). Children ages 3 and under are admitted free.

The Academy will kick off their Summer Dance classes with a Mini Camp on June 17-19 after school from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Mark your calendars now for Summer Dance Camp the week of July 7 – 11 where the Academy will open its doors to children of all ages and dance levels for more dancing, tumbling and musical theatre classes!
