Angie’s dancers stand out at regional competition

The “Aces” and “Starz” students of Angie Henley and Hayley Leis at Angie’s Dance Academy in Clyde, recently participated in the Masquerade Dance Contest in Spindale.  They came home with many awards including several Judges’ Choice Awards for choreography, “Studio Spirit” and “Parade of Stars.”  The dancers were also presented with awards naming them the “Best of Show” for the entire contest.
Angie’s Aces consist of five groups, the T-Birds ages 8-10, Cadettes ages 10-12, Angels ages 12-13, Top Guns ages 14-17.  The Starz are made up of younger dancers (ages 6-7) who aspire to one day be in the Aces Performing Troupe.  They are judged along side other dancers from across the region on their dance ability, technical merit, routine choreography and stage presentation.  Angie’s Aces and Starz ...
