For 23 years, the talented young people enrolled at Angie’s Dance Academy have entertained children and adults alike and this year is no exception. Don’t miss the 23rd annual recital, “Adventures in Neverland,” at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, and 3 p.m. Sunday, June 1, in the auditorium of Haywood Community College.

This year’s recital will include singing, acting and dancing as the main characters Wendy and Peter Pan share their marvelous adventures in the magical world of Neverland.

The academy will also feature the students in the Aces Performing Troupes during their Spring Showcase at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at HCC. These talented young dancers range in age from 6 to 18 and will perform their high-energy, entertaining and award-winning routines that placed so highly in spring competitions this season.

Tickets for the recitals and the showcase will be available at the door. Adults are $10, children 4 to 12 are $8 and children under 3 are free.

The academy will kick off its summer dance classes with a Mini Camp from 4 to 7 p.m. June 17-19. The Summer Dance Camp will take place the week of July 7-11 when the academy opens its doors to children of all ages and dance levels for dancing, tumbling and musical theatre classes.
