Animal transport drivers needed
Last year, more than 500 dogs were saved via Sarge’s interstate transport system, and this year the group is on track to save hundreds more.
Typically, transports are held every three weeks — leaving Wednesday evenings and returning mid-day Friday. Two-person teams are used for the drive.
Sarge’s has set records for local adoptions each of the last nine months, but unfortunately it is not enough to save the lives of all the dogs that need homes in Haywood County. The combination of local adoptions and transport to Northeastern no-kill facilities for adoption has proven highly effective.
Two driving teams are in place and having one more would create a schedule that would allow each team to travel once every nine weeks. Volunteers to help would be greatly appreciated and will result ...
