A preliminary kick-off event, a “Percentage Night,” will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday March 21, at Tuck’s Tap and Grille, 3344 Old Cullowhee Road, Cullowhee. Tuck’s management has agreed to give a percentage of the evening’s proceeds from food sales that night to Mountain Mediation.

Raffle tickets will also be on available, with a top prize of a three-night stay at an oceanfront condo in Myrtle Beach and additional prize packages from local businesses.

The “Bridges to Peace” Family Fun Day fundraiser event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29 at Jackson Country Recreation Center, 8 Cullowhee Mountain Road, Cullowhee. There will be inflatables, games and relays, as well as interactive and educational events that focus on educating children and parents about bullying — recognizing it, preventing it and addressing it.
