Antioch Baptist Church is holding their annual Missions Fair Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Haywood County Fairgrounds. Come one and all from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for fun and festivities as you shop the flea market, new and used furniture and appliances, Antioch boutique shop, old country store, kid’s corner and youth baked goods. Don’t forget to stop by the silent auction for some special items up for your biding. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served by Women's Missionary Union. Tickets for country dinner and entertainment starting at 5 p.m. are available for $7 from church members or can be purchased at the fair. There are some new things this year, come and see.
All proceeds go to fund the mission projects at Antioch. One project included is a Nicaraguan village, Christo Rey, where a feeding program is provided as well as construction of living quarters for these very poor people. Most of these children fed there eat one meal a day some not even that. Some suffer from severe malnutrition which effect their mental and physical development. Many families there do not even have a roof over their heads. The Antioch Team returns there in March for its fifth year. We join other teams in helping these relocated families with food and shelter as well help and hope for a better future. Your participation in the Fall Mission Fair is greatly appreciated. We hope to see you there.
