Apply for Haywood Healthcare Foundation grants

CLYDE — Nonprofit organizations, government agencies and schools have an opportunity to apply for grants to support healthcare needs in Haywood County.

Haywood Healthcare Foundation is providing grants of up to $10,000, which address the top three priorities from the Haywood County Community Health Assessment — drug and tobacco/substance abuse; mental health; and chronic diseases.

Grant proposals can be addressed to a specific healthcare program, health educational materials or equipment.

Grant applications are due by 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19. Completed applications will be accepted by mail at Haywood Healthcare Foundation, 262 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721; can be emailed to; or faxed to 828-452-8973.

Each grant request cannot exceed $10,000.  Partial funding may be provided.

The Grants Review Committee may request a presentation by a representative of the applying agency or organization.  Scholarships will be considered at a later date.

All grant funding requests are first reviewed by the Grants Committee. Grants will be awarded at the Haywood Healthcare Foundation’s Board meeting in April. All applicants will be notified of results.
