ArtFest carries on despite the rain

Despite the rain and overcast skies, ArtFest is in full swing in downtown Waynesville.

There are vendors, ethnic and festival food booths, a kids' tent with free activities, and free Folkmoot performances.

The performances by the groups from Taiwan and Trinidad that were scheduled for earlier in the day were canceled due to rain.

The remaining performances for the day are:

Town Hall stage

— 4 to 4:15 p.m. - Columbia performance

Court House stage

— 3:05 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. - Sven Hoosen on mountain dulcimer

— 4:20 to 4:50 p.m. - William and Sarah, folk guitar and vocals
