ASAP’s Farm Tour includes Sunburst Trout

The gates and barns of 35 Western North Carolina farms will open to the public for ASAP’s annual Farm Tour from 1 to 6 p.m. Sept. 22 and 23. Sunburst Trout Farms in Haywood County is one of the participating farms on the tour.

The self-guided tour offers a chance for locals and visitors alike to learn how food grows, taste farm-fresh products, interact with farm animals and meet the community’s food producers.

It’s the first time ASAP has hosted the event in the fall.

ASAP plans to launch a brand new local food app, entitled Appalachian Grown and modeled after their Local Food Guide, just before the event.
