Phyllis Inman Barnett will read from her new novel at Blue Ridge Books Sunday, Aug. 25 at 3 p.m.
Barnett grew up on the west fork of the Pigeon River in the 1950s. As part of the fund raising efforts to restore Inman Chapel in 2007, Barnett wrote her first book: At the Foot of Cold Mountain Sunburst and the Universalists at Inman’s Chapel. Barnett’s second book, Love in the time of War is a work of fiction set in Florida and Kashmir near the border between India and Pakistan where violence erupts between neighbors over land and religious differences.
