Dearly Loved

ASHEVILLE/ CANTON  — Barbara Maxine Mills, 79, of Brickyard Court, in Asheville, and a former resident of Canton, went to her Heavenly home Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012.

She was born on Christmas day, Dec. 25, 1932, in Haywood County to the late Gus Victor Mills and the late Lelia Mae Roberts Mills.  Barbara Maxine grew up in Canton and was a 1954 graduate of Reynolds High School, where she was a member of the Reynolds Tigers girl’s basketball team. She continued her education, receiving her degree from The Charlotte School of Cosmetology.  Residing most of her life in Asheville, she was employed as a beautician, a cook at Reynolds High School in Canton, a former employee of American Enka Corporation and a dedicated employee of Walmart,  from where she retired.  She was a member ...
