Dr. Lynne Barrett and Mr. Cecil Yount have joined their professional practices into Barrett & Yount in order to offer the local community a wide range of professional behavioral health care services on an outpatient level. Both Barrett and Yount, natives to Haywood County, are well known in their respective fields of psychology and addictions treatment. Barrett specializes in Sand Play Therapy for victims of trauma and and has been trained at the CG Jung Institue in Chicago in Psychoanalytic Therapy. Yount brings his 35+ years of experience in family therapy and addictions to the new partnership.

Barrett & Yount are on the panels of numerous insurance company panels including Blue Cross-Blue Shield of N.C., and Medcost. Additionally, a limited number of Medicaid basic benefit slots are available. Working closely with the local medical community and businesses, Barrett & Yount provide timely services in individual, family, and group therapies. Specialized assessments and consultations are also available including workshops on compassionate fatigue, positive aging, PTSD, teambuilding, and various topics in addictions.
