Big Brothers Big Sisters of Haywood County is accepting application for boys and girls within the Waynesville/Clyde area between the ages of 6 and 14, who could benefit from an approved adult mentor/role model.

There are several male volunteers who would like to mentor boys in the Waynesville area.  There is a waiting list for boys in the Canton/Bethel area and a need for volunteers to become mentors in those areas.  Big Brothers Big Sisters is sensitive to the different geographic areas in Haywood County and tries to keep matches within a reasonable geographic area.

Appropriate referrals to the traditional program are boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14, who are from single parent families (can be foster care, living with relatives).  The program matches children with a caring Big ...
