BBQ and Bluegrass fundraiser is April 5

Haywood County 4-H Bulls Eye Shooting Sports Club is having its third annual BBQ and Bluegrass Fundraiser at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Haywood County Cooperative Extension Service located at 589 Raccoon in Waynesville.

Dinner plates are $8 and include BBQ, slaw, baked beans, dinner roll, dessert and drink. Take-out BBQ plates will be available and food will be served on site until 7 p.m.

During dinner and the throughout the evening, Bulls Eye Shooting Sports 4-H club members will perform several styles of music including bluegrass and folk. There will also be several items available for live auction.

This year, five Haywood County 4-Hers qualified to be part of the North Carolina State team at the National Shooting Sports Competition held in June at Grand Island, Nebraska. The four qualifying members are Lindsey Wicker, Kaitlin Frazier, Holly Warren, Rachel Warren and Miranda Lee. Funds raised from the event will help 4-Hers cover expenses to attend the national competition.
