The Smoky Mountain Knitting Guild is offering free knitting classes for adults, beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the Waynesville Branch Library. The class will run for six weeks and are free of charge.

The classes are designed to give beginning knitters the opportunity to learn the basic stitches.  After — or in addition to — the classes, motivated knitters are welcome to join the several knitting circles that meet informally throughout the week in Waynesville.

Pre-registration is required and the class size will be limited to ten participants. All materials will be provided or participants may bring their own supplies.
