The Classic Wineseller welcomes singer-songwriter, Ben Wilson back to its Friday Night Live music series from 7-10 p.m. Feb. 22, 20 Church Street.

Ben Wilson has an extensive repertoire including originals, Americana, and acoustic classics, with emphasis on music from the 60s and 70s. His style has been compared to John Prine, Elvis Costello, Bob Dylan, and Todd Snider. Ben Wilson records on the Contemporary Buffalo Jumping Spoon Productions label.

Voted one of Florida’s Top Five Songwriters, Ben Wilson has toured for the last 15 years singing, and playing guitar and harmonica. Ten albums, two charted songs, and nearly 2,000 live shows later, Wilson now makes Asheville his home.

Mr. Wilson has become a regular on the local music scene performing at Jack of the Wood, 98.1 The River, The Biltmore Estate, Homegrown in Prichard Park, Good Stuff, Ironhorse Station, and at the Classic Wineseller’s Friday Night Live music series in Waynesville.

When Wilson is not performing he spends time as an Artist in Residence for Asheville City Schools where he teaches students in grades K-8 about the art of songwriting.

Dinner is prepared in the Classic Wineseller’s kitchen from 5:30-9 p.m. There is a $10 minimum per person including food, drink, and retail purchases.
