Benefit art sale held in downtown Waynesville
There will be an original art sale in conjunction with Art after Dark from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday Nov. 1 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday Nov. 2 at the office of Beverly-Hanks Realty, 74 North Main Street, Waynesville.
The sale includes more than 55 pieces of original art (acrylic and mixed media paintings). The art is being provided for the event by local artists from two galleries in North Carolina and Tennessee. A portion of the proceeds benefit Haywood Christian Ministry. For more information about the event, call 734-1307.
Haywood Christian Ministry is a non-profit organization serving Haywood County since 1970 and provides assistance with utilities, heat, rent, food, clothing and medication. They also serve as a clearing house for outreach concerns shared by area organizations and operate a thrift store at 150 Branner Avenue in Waynesville.
