Join friends of Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation at a Benefit One Mile Fun Run & Dog Walk at Lake Junaluska on Saturday April 13th, 2013. All proceeds directly benefit Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation. Stroll with family and friends or compete for first place! First place takes home a Sarge's t-shirt. Bring your friendly fur baby on a leash to enjoy the event. Festivities include a bake sale and photo booth.

Registration is $5 and 100% goes to the foundation. Registration begins at 9 am and the walk/run starts at 10am. The event will start at the Bethea Welcome Center parking area at 91 N. Lakeshore Drive, Lake Junaluska, NC.  You may register online in advance at:  http://thefundraiser.wufoo.com/forms/z7x3p3/.  Day of event registration is also welcome.

You may pay the registration fee to walk/run or seek additional donations and/or sponsors to raise even more for Sarge’s.  If you'd like to fundraise online, a CrowdRise fundraiser has been created – join the team at: http://www.crowdrise.com/sargesonemilefunrundogwalk.   The event is on Facebook where you may RSVP and share with friends: http://on.fb.me/14vPNuB.  For more information, call 828.734.1307 or 828.508.2997.

Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation’s mission is to save animals from euthanasia in the Haywood County Animal Control facility (HCAC). Unfortunately, the number of animals who arrive at HCAC is so great that they can only remain there for a limited time before room must be made for more arrivals. They rescue those healthy and adoptable animals that are in danger of euthanasia.

You can support Sarge’s by becoming a member, donating items for resale, becoming a volunteer in the foster care program, youth program or adoption program, host fundraisers, or work as a shelter assistant.  For more information, visit http://www.sargeandfriends.org/.
