Bethel Middle School students selected for CFNC pilot program
Sixth-grade students in Mr. Curtis’ careers class at Bethel Middle School participated in a pilot program for College Foundation of North Carolina.
The online program, which will be launched in the spring is called “Compass” and will be available for all students in the sixth and seventh grades at that time. The students completed seven modules, which included self-discovery, organization, saving money and setting goals, school subjects and careers, academic challenge and good study habits, career paths, and career interests and focus.
Rosemary Houston, school counselor coordinated this program with CFNC and was assisted by Mr. Curtis in its implementation.
