In Loving Memory

ASHEVILLE — Betty Jean Bartlett Jarvis, 86, passed awaySaturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the Brian Center.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Virgil Lusk and Nina Ruth Harrison Bartlett.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jack Allison Jarvis, who died in 2011; and four siblings, Carolyn Langford, Virgil “Bobby” Bartlett Jr., Jimmy Bartlett and Mary Eleanor Bartlett.  She was a graduate of Grace School and retired from J. C. Penny with 35-years of service.  Betty loved her family dearly and was a very devoted wife and mother.  She was also a talented seamstress, loved to cook, and enjoyed traveling to Florida during the summers and was a member of Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church.
