In Loving Memory

CANTON — Betty Brown Barrett, 82, of Elaine Drive, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012.

Mrs. Barrett was born Dec. 26, 1929 in Knoxville, Tennessee and had made her home in Canton for the past 78 years. She was a 1948 graduate of Canton High School and retired from Carolina Power and Light Company with many years of dedicated service. Betty enjoyed “being at her home” and she always felt most blessed when she was surrounded by her family. Her children and grandchildren were indeed the light of her life and each one of them brought her much pride and joy. Betty will be deeply missed as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leeland Brown; her mother, Eloise Harkins Mason and her step-father, Elbert Mason.
