Wonderful Mother, Grandmother
WAYNESVILLE — Betty Jean Ledford Justice, 71, of Alma Drive, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012.
Mrs. Justice was born May 19, 1941 in Haywood County to the late Glen Ledford and the late Geneva Trantham Ledford. She was a lifelong resident of Haywood County and had been employed at American Enka Corporation and also Haywood Vocational Opportunities in Waynesville. Betty was a wonderful mother and grandmother and also an excellent cook of “good country food.” Her flower garden brought her great joy and her iris and daylilies were admired by everyone. Betty will never be forgotten but deeply missed by her family. In her son’s words, “We will always miss you.”
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Ann Yarborough who passed away in 1999; two sisters and four brothers.
Surviving are husband, Thomas E. Justice; a son, Michael Justice of Waynesville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home. The Rev. Matt Ledbetter officiated. The family received friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
