Big Black Bears teach football to little Black Bears

CANTON — The Canton Youth Football Organization’s three-day football and cheer camp at Pisgah Memorial Stadium this week can be summed up in three words:
A major success.
Seven Pisgah varsity football players and three varsity cheerleaders gave up their summer vacation to volunteer to teaching the game  to an attentive audience of 46 aspiring gridiron warriors and 26 young enthusiastic cheerleaders.
The Pisgah varsity football players were: Kameron Vaughn, Dakota Cowan, Dakota King, Dylan Hannah, Hunter Sluder, Josh Noland, Kolby Alexander, Corey Valentine Sherrill Rathbone and Dustin Messer. The varsity cheerleaders were Cortney Stanley, Jordan McCracken and Savannah Morris.
