Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother
MAGGIE VALLEY — Billie Bradley Rich, 82, of Maggie Valley, passed away Nov. 30, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 6, 1930, in Haywood County to the late Ray and Gladys Lowe Bradley. Billie enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, making baskets, and was a member of the Quilters Guild. Most of all she enjoyed loving her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers and a great-grandson, Trevor Burgess.
Billie is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Glen Rich; one daughter, Vicky Burgess (Wayne); one son, Butch Rich (Coleen); one sister, Tiny McClure; four grandchildren, Tim Burgess (Libby), Tiffany Taylor (Scott), Trent Burgess and Ken Rich; four great-grandchildren, C.J. and Alex Rich, Hannah Burgess and Camille Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Revs. Ricky Mason and the Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
