Black Bears sweep Warriors
CANTON — In its final non-conference match of the season, the Pisgah varsity volleyball team dominated visiting Erwin in the first two sets (25-13, 25-12).
But the Black Bears had to battle from the start to the finish in the final set, but still managed find a way to win, 28-26), to sweep the Warriors, 3-0.
The win improved Pisgah to 12-6 overall. The Black Bears are also 7-4 in the WNCAC and in a three-way tie for first with North Henderson and Brevard for the top 2-A seed for the playoffs.
Pisgah played at North Henderson Tuesday night. No results were available at press time. The Black Bears will host Smoky Mountain Thursday night (Oct. 11).
