LEICESTER — The extravaganza of high school football on the final day of June will offer football fans something completely opposing the game’s ages-old concept of “three yards and a cloud of dust.”

All the excitement begins when 21 teams, including the Pisgah varsity football team, arrive on the campus of Erwin High School on Saturday, June 30, for the first U.S. Army North Carolina Passing League, a 21-team 7-on-7 all-day tournament.
“We have been working hard to get ourselves ready for this tournament,” said Pisgah Head Coach David Pressley. “I like what I have seen so far. The kids are excited about competing in this tournament and it should be very exciting for the Pisgah fans, which I know will come out in force.”
