Black history of Haywood to be discussed Jan. 26
There will be a program about the Black history of Haywood from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 26, at a meeting of the Haywood County Historical and Genealogical Society, at the Haywood County Public Library, 678 S. Haywood St., in Waynesville.
First there will be an installation of officers, followed a program by Lynn Forney, executive director of Pigeon Community Development Center. Forney will moderate a panel to discuss the black history of Haywood County.
