BMS Softball Stays Hot

BMS — The Lady Blue Demons plugged along last week as they defeated Rugby Middle School 6-2 in seven innings. The Lady Demons improved as a club to 6-2 and swept their crossover games this 2014 season.

The Lady Raiders were shut down from the circle by eighth grader Madison Whitted as she had 15 strike outs in the game while only allowing 4 hits and 1 base on balls. Giving Whitted 72 strikeouts on the season.
Bethel was lead at the plate by eighth graders Kallie Messer, Bayle Stamey and seventh grader Maci Henson. Messer went 3-3 from the dish with a double and two singles driving in a run in the bottom of the third. While Stamey went 2-3 with two singles, scored twice and stolen a base. Henson also went 2-3 three with a RBI double in the third and single of her own in the fifth. Seventh grader Jordan "Gurdy" Creson had a RBI double in the third as well, along with Whitted who doubled in the first.
Bethel will play again on April the 14th against Waynesville, with game time being at 4:30 p.m.
