LAKE JUNALUSKA —  Bobbie Ruth Hogan Stevenson, 83, of Castle Creek Drive, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, at MedWest-Haywood.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Oberia Crawford Hogan.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd H. Stevenson, who died in 2009; two sisters, Christine Harrell and Maxie Furness; and one brother, Harry Hogan.  Bobbie was a graduate of Crabtree-Ironduff High School and Blanton’s Business College with a degree in secretarial science.  She was employed by Haywood County School System for 20 years as an administrative assistant and retired from Haywood Community College in 1990.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clyde.

She is survived by a son, Tim Stevenson, of Waynesville; and one brother, Col. Jack Hogan, and his wife, Polly, of Tampa.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, April 13, in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Rev. T. David Phillips officiating.  Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.  Serving as pallbearers will be John Smith Sr., Earl Dickert, John Smith Jr., Jason Smith, Keith Stevenson and Jason Greene.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
