WEAVERVILLE  — Bobby Ray Griffin III went to be with the Lord Oct. 17, 2012.

He had a passion for fishing, loved the outdoors, and preferred to be called Little Ray.

He is survived by his father, Ray Griffin and his wife, Sue M. Griffin; his mother, Darlene G. Davis; sisters, Heather, Haley, and Melissa Griffin, and Misty Justine; brothers, Ben and Travis Greene; grandparents, Olivia and Charles Redmon, and Mary Gentry; and great-grandmother, Vella Mae Cooper.

He is preceded in death by his big brother, Clint Griffin, who passed away in 2008.

A celebration of life is planned for Little Ray at 1 p.m. Nov. 10, at Balsam Ridge Baptist Church in Waynesville, with the Revs. Mark Atkinson and Doug Skidmore.
