Waynesville, NC - The Classic Wineseller, 20 Church Street, welcomes Bohemian Jean on Friday, January 10 at 7pm. The duo is comprised of Waynesville residents, vocalist Jessi Stone, and her singer-songwriter husband, Matt Welborn. Stone chooses covers that suit her soulful alto voice — including hits from Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks, Patsy Cline, and Carly Simon. Welborn complements his wife’s voice with rich harmonies, also adding his own fun covers and original music to the mix. The duo’s natural chemistry shines through when they perform the music they love.

Singer-songwriter, Paul Cataldo (guitar, banjo, vocals) performs Saturday, January 11 at 7pm. Cataldo has been playing music since he was 14 years old, when he heard Neil Young for the first time. Cataldo focused on drawing classic rock songs from his Strat using the songs of John Fogerty, Lindsay Buckingham, and David Gilmour to guide him. He landed his first job playing lead with Shortbus, a Boston-based cover band.

After three years of playing other people’s music, Cataldo moved to New York where he bought a Martin guitar and began to find “his” voice as a songwriter. Cataldo regularly tours the eastern US--from Portland, ME to Savannah, GA. His first full length LP "Rivers, Roads & Mountains" (2009) has received steady airplay on college stations in the northeast. The LP was recorded at Quad Studios in Nashville, the same room where Neil Young recorded his breakthrough record Harvest.

The Wineseller’s restaurant opens at 5:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays serving freshly prepared small plate entrees and tapas-style fare. On LIVE music nights there is a $10 per person minimum which includes food, drink, and retail purchases. Reservations are acccepted between 6pm and 7pm by calling 828-452-6000.
